Taiwanese import 85°C Bakery Cafe, which has over 900 locations worldwide and close to 20 stores in the U.S., first entered San Diego in Fall 2014 with its debut in Balboa Mesa. Now the chain, which attracts long lines for its fresh cakes, breads and pastries, has announced that it plans to open at least two more outposts in the area.
First up is Mira Mesa, where 85 °C is scheduled to grand open on June 10 in the Mira Mesa Shopping Center. Operating Director Charles Wu said, "There is no community as unique as Mira Mesa. There are military bases, bio-tech and high-tech companies, and residents from all around the world. We are thrilled to become a part of this special community, where we will serve those who serve our country."
Next in line for the super popular chain is a third local store in National City at 1302 E Plaza Blvd. #103, slated to launch in July.
