Ballast Point Adds Long Beach & Virginia To Brewing Empire

More beer for everyone

Facebook

This month brings news of two big expansions for San Diego's Ballast Point Brewing & Spirits; first up is a project that was in motion before the craft beer company's acquisition by the behemoth Constellation Brands, a new brewery restaurant for Long Beach that's scheduled to debut soon in a 12,000-square-foot space at the SoCal town's Alamitos Bay marina. The tasting room and eatery will also include a small batch brewery, similar in makeup to its Little Italy facility.

And just this week, word broke about the company's plans to expand to the East Coast with a production facility in Botetourt County, Virginia. Ballast Point will reportedly begin construction on the enormous 259,000-square-foot building later this year. It joins two other San Diego breweries, Green Flash Brewing Company and Stone Brewing, which both have projects in the works for Virginia.
