LA JOLLA— Galaxy Taco will pause their wildly popular Tuesday Taco Takeovers after Tuesday, May 24. Guest chef Isabel Cruz (Isabel’s Cantina and Coffee Cup Cafe) closes the series tomorrow, offering a trio of tacos that will be available starting at 5 p.m. The modern Mexican eatery will resume taco Tuesday in the fall — The Marine Room's Bernard Guillas is scheduled to take on tacos on September 6. CORONADO— On June 9 at 6 p.m., the Hotel del Coronado ill host 'Chef Throwdown', with 30 chefs serving up stations of hors d’oeuvres and desserts paired with local wine and beer alongside live entertainment. Tickets are $150, with all of the proceeds going to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
