Every since it was first revealed that the wildly-popular, New York City-based Shake Shack would be extending its burger empire to the West Coast, our tipline has been ringing with whispers and hopeful pleas that the expansion might include San Diego.
The Danny Meyer-led fast-casual concept, which is known for its hamburgers and milkshakes, opened with much fanfare in West Hollywood last month, and a recent announcement about more locations in the Los Angeles area included rumors of scouting in San Diego.
Though the company's representatives haven't been able to officially confirm that they're hunting for locations in San Diego, it may inevitable that the publicly-traded burger chain will land locally. We'll update with more soon.
