Grilled Cheese Pop-Up in Bay Park; Spritz Cocktail Day at KINDRED

BAY PARK— Bottle shop and beer tasting room Poseidon Project will host the sandwich experts from Sandwich Emporium this Thursday, April 21 from 4 to 9 p.m. Sandwich Emporium will be making grilled cheese sandwiches to order, from custom concoctions to The Poseidon, a signature sandwich invented for the occasion that melts three cheeses with sautéed mushrooms, tomato and Japanese Kewpie mayo. SOUTH PARK— Toast to spring and the joys of day drinking on Sunday, May 1when KINDRED holds its first ever MayDay Spritz Fest. Starting at brunch service, eight versions of a spritz — a sparkling wine-based cocktail — will be on tap, including several housemade variations and collaborations from guests including Bracero's Christian Siglin and Jacob McKean of Modern Times. IMPERIAL BEACH— On Saturday, April 30, Imperial Beach is hosting its first annual Fiesta del Mar; held from noon to 7 p.m. at the Imperial Beach Pier Plaza (10 Evergreen Avenue), the free festival will celebrate a friendship agreement signed by the mayors of Imperial Beach and Rosarito, Mexico with food from the Puerto Nuevo Baja Hotel & Villas and several Cohn Restaurant Group properties, including the adjacent Sea180 Coastal Tavern, plus live music, craft beer and wine from the Valle de Guadalupe. Sea180 is also putting together a special $55 dinner on Friday, April 29 that will feature a Baja-inspired buffet with Puerto Nuevo-style lobster, margaritas, and more live music.
