Stella Public House & Halcyon Sign Up New Executive Chef

Expect fresh menus to debut soon

Stella Public House and Halcyon, the related concepts that transplanted from Texas to the East Village in Fall 2014, have a new chef at the helm. Now overseeing the two eateries is executive chef Jade Griego, who hails from Columbus, Ohio where he worked at several prominent restaurants; locally, Griego cooked at Barbarella in La Jolla Shores and Whisknladle Hospitality's Prepkitchen.

In early May, Griego will be rolling out fresh menus at both Halcyon, which offers coffee, late night service and weekend brunch, and Stella Public House, which specializes is artisan wood-fired pizza. He's already run some of his own pizza specials including wild ramp and walnut pesto with housemade mozzarella and taleggio and farmer's market asparagus with prosciutto di Parma.
