Rudd Wine Dinner at Dobson's & The Grant Grill Celebrates Houdini

Plus, Tokyo Deli grand opens in the East Village

DOWNTOWN— Dobson’s Bar & Restaurant has a wine dinner featuring Napa Valley's acclaimed Rudd Oakville Estate scheduled for Tuesday, March 22 at 6:30 p.m. Executive chef Martin San Roman will cook up a five-course meal, which includes foie gras paired with Rudd sparkling wine and Colorado rack of lamb with wild cherry sauce on apple confit matched with 2012 Rudd Samantha’s Cabernet. DOWNTOWN— The Grant Grill has a cool dinner event planned for Thursday, March 24, which happens to be magician Harry Houdini’s birthday. The magic-themed night will start at 6 p.m. with a reception featuring molecular cocktails from chef de bar Cory Alberto, followed by a four-course "mystery menu" dinner from executive chef Mark Kropczynski. Each course will be paired with a beverage, from wine to beer and cocktails, and feature tableside entertainment from magician Ben Silver. [EaterWire]

EAST VILLAGE— A new Japanese eatery serving lunch and dinner, plus to-go and delivery service, just launched at 871 G Street. Tokyo Deli is now featuring over 20 lunch combos priced under $10, and through April 2, is offering 30% off all menu items.
