After debuting THE LOT luxury cinema in La Jolla last fall to rave reviews, Backlot Hospitality is preparing to launch a second outpost of the multiplex/restaurant in Liberty Station this May, with more in the works for Southern California.
Working with the existing architecture of Liberty Station's 26,000-square-foot Luce Auditorium, THE LOT will feature a 2,500-square-foot indoor patio and a 2,500-square-foot outdoor patio, with a dramatic glass box entrance leading into the historic building.
There will be six, ultra-luxurious auditoriums showing first-run blockbusters and art house films, with food and beverage service available at each plush leather seat. It will also include a full-fledged restaurant, bar and cafe offering breakfast, lunch and dinner. This location will have its own dedicated menu, with executive chef Matt Sramek overseeing the restaurant and and chef Alejandra Pitashny in charge of the cafe.
