Chef Antonio Friscia (Gaijin, Stingaree), whose recently-formed Legal Restaurants hospitality collective was brought on board by The Patio Group to help develop, launch and lead the just-opened Fireside by The Patio in Liberty Station, has announced that Amiko Gubbins will be joining his culinary team.
The highly-qualified Gubbins has logged cooking time in many reputable local kitchens and worked as a private and corporate chef consultant; most recently, she spent several years with the Cohn Restaurant Group and is maybe most remembered for running the much-admired Parallel 33 restaurant in Mission Hills.
Gubbins joins as chef-partner of Legal Restaurants alongside Friscia and chef Fern Tran. The group will be partnering again with The Patio on a yet-unannounced Asian concept, as well as developing its own restaurant projects.
