Mardi Gras at The Fishery; Puesto Expands to Irvine

PACIFIC BEACH— For a special Mardi Gras edition of his weekly Tuesday Tasting menu, The Fishery's executive chef Paul Arias has put together three courses, plus dessert, that showcase gulf shrimp, including crispy shrimp with Cajun aioli and stewed shrimp with an Anson Mills grits cake. IRVINE— Puesto is taking its Mexican street food concept north, reports the OC Weekly. The San Diego-based eatery will be opening a location in Irvine's Los Olivos Marketplace, where other new tenants include Whole Foods Market and an outpost from another local company, Burger Lounge. [OC Weekly]

LOGAN HEIGHTS— The tipline tells us that the owners of the Ms Vintage, a vintage clothing and furniture business, have opened a coffee bar to serve the neighborhood at 2920 Imperial Avenue. Called Imperial Grounds, the shop is decorated with vintage finds and offers espresso drinks and organic coffee and tea from Cafe Moto, plus pastries and snacks from local vendors.
