Tasting Room Del Mar To Combine Bottleshop, Bar & Restaurant

It launches this spring.

Craft beer is finally on the rise in Del Mar. The seaside community is getting its first brewery, Vigilante Brewing, later this year and another beer-centric project, Tasting Room Del Mar, is scheduled to open in April.

Spearheaded by local father/son team David and Evan TaylorTasting Room Del Mar will have prime placement on the upscale neighborhood's main thoroughfare for its new beer, wine and food concept. Spanning more than 2,500-square-feet, the tasting room will include indoor and outdoor space, multiple bars (including a former flower shop kiosk-turned-tasting bar) and offer more than 100 craft beers and boutique wines by the glass or bottle. There will also be a significant retail component for to-go bottles, and a seasonally-inspired menu of small plates from LA-transplant, chef Steven Lona, that will refresh bi-monthly to pair with Tasting Room Del Mar's rotating beverage lineup; Rusti Gilbert (Addison, The Cork and Craft) will oversee the wine program. The restaurant is also developing its own app that will let diners place their food and drink orders on-site or in advance.
