ENCINITAS— The Craftsman New American Tavern is celebrating Valentine's month with a complimentary wine tasting on Wednesday, February 10 at 6:30 p.m. that includes five Spanish wines and cheese to match and a five-course wine pairing dinner scheduled for Wednesday, February 17 that features a menu ranging from celeriac soup with Jerusalem artichokes and butterscotch foam served with Robert Hall Chardonnay to pan-seared monkfish paired with Niner Pinot Noir. TIJUANA— On Friday, February 26, Panama 66 chef Sharon Wilson, chef Norbert Moniz of Tiger!Tiger! and Blind Lady Ale House and the group's resident charcuterie and baking expert Tim Fuller are headed down to Tijuana's Verde Y Crema for a collaboration dinner with its head chef Zoé Villarreal and sous chef Jennifer G. Arana. The multi-course meal, which will have seatings at 6:30 and 9 p.m., includes tray passed bites, charcuterie, veggies, poultry, meat and dessert, with optional beverage pairings of beer, wine and mezcal available. Tickets for the dinner start at $63, with Baja tour gurus Let's Go Clandestino offering a select number of tickets that include bus transportation from San Diego to Mexico.
