Bracero, Polite Provisions & Addison Nominated For James Beard Awards

San Diego makes the semifinals.

The James Beard Foundation just released its list of semifinalists for the 2016 James Beard Restaurant & Chef Awards, which recognize culinary achievement across the nation. The finalists will be revealed March 15, with the winners announced in May.

This year finds several San Diego names sprinkled among the nominees. Among the local highlights: Eater's Restaurant of the Year, Bracero Cocina de Raiz, is up for the Best New Restaurant category while CH Projects' Polite Provisions is among the nominees for Outstanding Bar Program. And the oft-nominated Addison scores again, it's in the running for Outstanding Wine Program and executive chef William Bradley is a semifinalist in the Best Chef: West category.
