Since last fall, online shopping titan Amazon has been steadily adding cities to its new food delivery service, and today announced that it has expanded to include the San Diego market. Available to Amazon Prime Now subscribers, who can access the service via Amazon's site or the Prime Now mobile app, the free delivery encompasses 16 local zip codes. Customers can view participating restaurants' menus, place orders, track order status, with delivery drivers dropping off meals in less than an hour; Amazon says average delivery time is 39 minutes.
More restaurants will be added the roster, but the list currently more than eateries, including the popular Carnitas' Snack Shack, Dumpling Inn, Mama's Bakery & Deli, S&M: Sausage & Meat and Tostadas North Park
