"Good Eats" creator, "Cutthroat Kitchen" host and Eater's pick for the coolest dude on the Food Network, Alton Brown, is headed to San Diego for a stop on his newest tour, dubbed "Alton Brown Live: Eat Your Science". Brown, who was last in town in 2013 with his "Edible Inevitable" extravaganza, will bring his latest culinary variety show to downtown's Balboa Theater on May 15 for two performances, at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m., with tickets starting at $34. "Potentially dangerous" food demos are promised, as well as interactive audience participation, songs and multimedia components.

The author and television personality, who winningly combines food, science and a sense of humor, is currently sourcing food suggestions for each of his tour stops, specifically looking for "coffee shops, restaurants, late-night snacks and sandwiches available in each area". Want to help him curate his eating time in San Diego? Brown's asking local fans to send recommendations via Facebook or Twitter with the hashtag #ABRoadEatsSAN.
