LITTLE ITALY— Local food photographer Jim Sullivan of Medium Raw Arts will be giving an iPhone food photography demo this Saturday, December 10 at The Crack Shack. Attendees will be able to participate in an Instagram contest, with the winner the receiving Crack Shack-related schwag. The event is also a toy drive to benefit the non-profit Miracles for Kids. CORONADO— Get a front row seat to the annual San Diego Bay Parade of Lights via Coronado Island Marriot Resort & Spa’s Las Posadas Lunar Feast scheduled for this Sunday, December 11 from 6 to 9 p.m. Held on a private pier, the $80 multi-course dinner will channel a traditional Mexican holiday festival with everything from roasted poblano chilies filled with farro picadillo in walnut sauce with pomegranate to rib eye carne asada with glazed onions, served with wines from Adobe Guadalupe and beer from Mike Hess Brewing. NORTH PARK— Get a sneak peak at Nomad Donuts’ second location, which will expand to include house-made Montreal-style bagels, sandwiches, beer and wine in addition to doughnuts. Although the eatery isn’t scheduled to be completed until 2017, the public can tour the space on Tuesday, December 13 from 6 to 9 p.m. during a fundraiser to benefit the David’s Harp Foundation, which supports at-risk and homeless youth.
