LA JOLLA— Bring a blanket and snuggle with the family by the fireplace at Hotel La Jolla's Hiatus Lounge on Saturday, December 17 at 4pm for a classic holiday movie shown on the lounge's outdoor screen. The event is free, but there will be hot toddies and small plates from Cusp's kitchen for adults and s'mores and cocoa for the kids, all available for purchase. Guests who come bearing a donation to the toy drive will receive complimentary popcorn to snack on during the screening. [EaterWire]

HARBOR ISLAND— Marriott Marquis San Diego's Marina Kitchen, in collaboration with Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens - Liberty Station, has created a limited edition beer that will be released at the restaurant on Thursday, December 1. Brewed with wildflower honey sourced from hives housed on the hotel's rooftop, the light to medium bodied dark lager with a mild roasty and floral aroma will be offered for $8. Marina Kitchen has more local beer collaborations in the works, including future brews with Pizza Port Brewing Company and Mother Earth Brew Co. [EaterWire]

PARADISE HILLS— Snoice, a dessert shop that specializes in everything from boba drinks to unique ice cream sandwiches and Asian desserts ranging from Filipino halo-halo to Taiwanese shaved snow, has launched a Kickstarter campaign. Hoping to raise $10,000 by December 21, the family-owned eatery will use the funds to renovate and expand the store and create a community space to host special events, concerts and meet-ups to service the Southeast San Diego neighborhood.
