A Gaslamp fixture for nearly two decades is on the way out, and its sizable space has been put up for sale. Hooters, the sports bar and grill chain known for its chicken wings and short shorts-clad servers which has locations in Mission Valley, National City, and San Marcos, will be closing its downtown outpost at the corner of Market and 4th Avenue.
At 6,600-square-feet, plus a patio, the property includes an open kitchen, walk-in cooler and keg room; a Type 47 Liquor License also comes with the price.
Handling the sale is Location Matters' Mike Spilky, who shared, "After almost a 20 year run in its current location, this very high profile corner is a great opportunity to take over a fairly turnkey restaurant space."
And there's still time for wings — Hooters will reportedly continue to operate in the space until a buyer is found.
