Breakfast Republic Expanding To Encinitas This Fall

Venturing to Encinitas for its first North County location is Breakfast Republic, with its crowd-drawing morning menu of egg-centric dishes, signature pancakes, and French toast. Owner Johan Engman's Rise and Shine Restaurant Group includes the Breakfast Republic outposts in North Park and Liberty Station, a just-launched seafood concept, Como Ceviche, in the East Village, and another in-the-works breakfast restaurant for North Park that should launch in early 2017.

Breakfast Republic will replace Firefly Grill & Wine Bar, which shuttered this summer. At 3,500-square-feet, with an additional 700-square-foot patio, it will be largest, by far, of all its current locations. And it's coming soon — a rep tells Eater that it should be waking up Encinitas by November.
