Pappalecco Preps For North County Cafes in Del Mar & Cardiff

Expect more North County expansion to come

After building lots of community around its Tuscan home-inspired coffee houses in Little Italy, Hillcrest and Kensington, Pappalecco's next expansion plans extend to North County. Guided by Cushman Wakefield's Urban Strategies Group, brothers Francesco and Lorenzo Bucci will be opening new locations of their Italian cafes in Cardiff and Del Mar.

First up is Cardiff, at 2101 San Elijo Avenue, which will be similar in size and scope to Pappalecco's newest eatery in Kensington. Opening later this month, it will feature an on-site pizza oven, outdoor seating, and serve its menu of from-scratch pizzas (including gluten-free options), pastries, panini, and more, as well as organic coffee and wine and its signature gelato.

And before the end of the year, Pappalecco will make its debut in a mall setting. Its new cafe in the Del Mar Highlands Town Center won't be a full eatery, but it will have indoor/outdoor seating, and a food and drink program that ranges from coffee and wine to pastries and gelato.
