A rapidly-growing franchise with roots in Kansas opened its first of several planned locations in the San Diego area today. With more than 200 outlets of the chain around the country, Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers is now up an running on Mile of Cars Way in National City.
Revolving around a menu of cooked-to-order steakburgers, pressed on the griddle to create crispy-edged patties, the concept is also known for its Chicago dogs and desserts, which center around freshly-made chocolate or vanilla frozen custard with over 30 topping options. The 3,000 square-foot franchise restaurant seats 100, with more seating on a patio, plus drive-through service
At least two more locations are planned here, including San Marcos and the 4S Ranch area.
