Kermit Lynch Tasting at Village Vino; The Return of Celebrate the Craft

KENSINGTON— Village Vino wine bar and retail shop is hosting its fall tasting event on Saturday, October 3 from 2 to 5 p.m. that will feature the portfolio of wine importer Kermit Lynch Wine Merchants, plus some small bites. Call or email to reserve a spot; the tasting fee is $25 (waived with wine purchase). LA JOLLA— The can't-miss food event of the year is always Celebrate the Craft, The Lodge at Torrey Pines' annual chef showcase that also honors local farms, food artisans, craft beer and wine, scheduled for Sunday, October 25 from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Joining The Lodge's executive chef Jeff Jackson is an impressive list of top area chefs, including Javier Plascencia of Bracero, Jsix's Christian Graves, Tender Greens' Pete Balistreri, Steven Reimer of Oceana Coastal Kitchen, and Deckmans en el Mogor's Drew Deckman.
