Baja Beer Takeover at Blind Lady; Ironside Chef's Catch Collab Dinner

NORMAL HEIGHTSHustle over to Blind Lady Ale House at 5 p.m. today; in honor of Mexican Independence Day, the eatery will have more than a dozen craft beers from Baja on tap, available in full pours or flights. Featured breweries range from Cerveceria Insurgente and Agua Mala Cerveceria to Cervecia Wendlandt, which will be represented by five beers, including Harry Polanco Red, Foca Parlante Oatmeal Stout and Vera Niega Wheat, which have all won Mexican Beer Cup gold medals. [EaterWire]

LITTLE ITALY— Ironside Fish & Oyster executive chef Jason McLeod continues his Chef's Catch collaboration dinner series by welcoming Chicago's Bill Kim, executive chef/owner of Urbanbelly, Belly Shack, BellyQ, into his kitchen to cook up a five-course family-style dinner that will include beer pairings from Stone Brewing Co. McLeod and Kim will be serving a kimchi and pork belly hominy stew with Stone's 19th Anniversary Thunderstruck IPA and pouring tea smoked duck breast with citrus sauce with Stone's Stochasticity Project Your Father Smelt of Elderberries.
