Changes at Cafe Zucchero & Free Tacos Today at Porkyland

LITTLE ITALY— The Busalacchi family has refreshed Cafe Zucchero's back patio and added a new to-go menu at their India Street eatery, which includes $7.95 baguette sandwiches that range from eggplant with mozzarella, basil and marinara to albacore with tomatoes, red onion, celery and capers. There are also salad, from quinoa with vegetables to classic Cobb and Caesar, that can be topped with a variety of proteins. [EaterWire]

CARMEL VALLEY— Porkyland is celebrating the grand opening of its new location today in the Torrey Hills Center shopping center at 4645 Carmel Mountain Road Suite 201, which is now open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Sunday. Today's special Taco Tuesday promotion kicks off at 4 p.m., with the first 100 people through the door scoring one free mini taco. [EaterWire]

BARRIO LOGAN— Baja tour company Let's Go Clandestino is celebrating its second anniversary on Sunday, September 20 with an event at Bread & Salt that'll run from 2 to 5 p.m. Tickets include a commemorative taster glass that you can fill with beer samples from a dozen breweries based in Baja and San Diego, including Cerveceria Wendlandt, Cerveceria Insurgente, Fall Brewing, Thorn Street Brewery and ChuckAlek Independent Brewers, plus gourmet hot dogs from MIHO Catering Co.
