MISSION BEACH— Swell Café and Coffee Roasting Company just launched "Hopped Toddy," a one-of-its-kind cold brew and the first to appear in San Diego. Coffee gets hops added during the brewing process, creating a bubbly and hoppy marriage of brewing technology and cold brew coffee. The Hopped Toddy is currently available via kegs and growlers at the Swell Café, and eventually, in local organic grocery stories.
