Table No. 10 Shutters After First Year in the East Village

New, 2 comments

C'mon San Diego, support your neighborhood restaurants.

We are saddened to report that Table No. 10 has served its last meals in the East Village. The restaurant, which opened just over a year ago on 10th and J, shuttered after dinner service on Sunday.

The progressive chef-driven restaurant was a partnership between executive chef Jason Gethin and Cooper McLaughlin, who previously ran The Corner, a burger-centric eatery, at the location; the duo redesigned the 3,500-square-foot space, which included a chef's table for ten next to the open kitchen, and launched last July.

Gethin had been getting good notice for his seasonal New American menu, which aimed to be an approachable take on fine dining; the chef could not be reached for comment. We're hearing that the restaurant and entire building that houses it may be up for sale.
