Kettner Exchange Readies Adjacent Doughnut & Coffee Shop

Meet Devil's Dozen.

Little Italy hotspot Kettner Exchange will celebrate its first anniversary this October and by the end of the same month, the restaurant will inaugurate Devil's Dozen, a new doughnut and coffee concept in an adjacent bi-level building.devil

KEX executive chef Brian Redzikowski and team have been honing their doughnut-making skills for months and plan to launch with a concise menu that showcases the best versions of their sweet endeavor. Redzikowski told Eater, "With Devil’s Dozen, we’re going to stay classic and close to the traditional roots of cooking. We will start by offering three or four different types of donuts; the toppings are going to be basic to let the dough be the focal point."

You won't find over-the-top or wacky gimmick doughnuts here. Devil's Dozen will offer cinnamon sugar, Mexican glazed chocolate, pastry cream-filled Italian bomboloni and donut holes; flavors will rotate with the season. Open Wednesday through Sunday from 8 a.m. until the doughnuts sell out, the shop will also serve coffee from local organic roaster Cafe Virtuoso.
