Our tipline has been buzzing about a new Good Time Design project in Pacific Beach and GTD principal Ty Hauter has confirmed to Eater that his team is indeed taking over Garnet Avenue's Typhoon Saloon and the adjacent Fred's Mexican Cafe.
The hospitality group, which also runs the East Village's Moonshine Flats, The Blind Burro and more, will reportedly put a new concept into the club and sports bar, which also served food from Fred's next door. We're hearing that there will likely be food component in new venture, but it remains to be seen if Good Time Design will be doing a single concept or keeping the spaces separate. We'll update as more information becomes available.
