EAST VILLAGE— Común Kitchen and Tavern has been rebranded as Común Taqueria and executive chef/partner Chad White (who may or may not be on Top Chef) has restructured the menu. Now, the eatery's top-selling tostadas, including carnitas and pollo asado, are also available as a taco, torta, quesadilla, fry-topper, or as bowl served with a side of tortillas. Común's most popular snacks, from the Mexican corn to ahi tuna on chicharron remain, and are joined by a new dish of torched and pureed homily with queso fresco and cilantro. [EaterWire]
