After launching its flagship in West Hollywood in 2008, fast-casual brand Lemonade now has 15 locations throughout the greater LA-area. Next month, the growing chain will open two outposts in San Diego. First up is Hillcrest, where Lemonade plans to open in early August in a 2,500-square-foot space at 3958 Fifth Avenue that'll have indoor and outdoor seating. Next in line is Westfield UTC, where Lemonade's first local shopping center location will debut in mid-August with a large patio and a vertical garden.
Serving cafeteria-style "Seasonal California Comfort Food" with a menu from executive chef and co-founder Alan Jackson, Lemonade's grab-and-go eats include salads, sandwiches, braised meats, desserts and specialty lemonades. Both San Diego locations will also offer freshly-baked made-to-order flatbreads, cooked in an open-flame brick oven.
