EAST VILLAGE— Bake Sale Bakery owner Terryl Gavre has hired a new baker to head up operations at the F Street bake shop. Jenn Reinhart earned her Diplome Professionnel de Boulangerie et Patisserie from the San Diego Culinary Institute and has worked pastry for Waypoint Public and the Enlightened Hospitality Restaurants (Searsucker); she'll be in charge of the bakery menu, from sandwiches to custom cakes and desserts, and oversee its monthly BAKE! classes. LA JOLLA— Hospitality group T S Restaurants (Jake's Del Mar) next local venture, Duke's La Jolla, is scheduled for a Fall 2105 opening on Prospect Street in the former Top of the Cove spaceLed by executive chef Anthony Sinsay, the restaurant is holding a job fair for FOH and BOH staff on Tuesday, July 28 from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Del Mar Hilton; interested parties can apply online. On Saturdays, diners can stop at the nearby open-air Tuna Harbor Dockside Market rom 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. to buy a fresh fish and bring it to Sally's, where the chefs will prepare a family-style dish to your specifications when you return for dinner that night.
