Masters Kitchen Anniversary Party; Lost Abbey's Christmas in July

OCEANSIDE— Masters Kitchen & Cocktail is celebrating its first anniversary with a retro-themed party scheduled for this Friday, July 17 starting at 5 p.m. Get dolled up for a stroll down their red carpet; the restaurant will be serving complimentary tray passed bites from 5 to 7 p.m. and there will be drink specials available for purchase and "turn of the era''-inspired dishes from executive chef Chris Gallo. All proceeds from the raffle and sales of the night's specialty cocktail, dubbed "The Wingman", will go to benefit the Wingman Foundation which supports the Navy and Marine Corps Aviation community. SAN MARCOS— The Lost Abbey and Port Brewing's festive annual Christmas in July to benefit the Marine Corps Toys for Tots Foundation returns this Saturday, July 18 to the brewery's tasting room with two sessions, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Admission to the family-friendly event is $15 or an unwrapped toy valued at $15 or more and includes food, entertainment and access to both breweries' full core lineup of beers, specialty taps and the release of this year's version of Santa's Little Helper, a bourbon barrel-aged Imperial Stout. NORTH PARK— Eco Caters' chef Nick Brune continues his SoundBite series, dinner collaborations between chefs and musicians with every course inspired by a song, with an event scheduled for Thursday, July 23 at Ritual Kitchen & Beer Garden. The night kicks off at 6:30 p.m. and will feature a six course meal cooked by three chefs— Brune, Ritual's Zach Blumenstock and Sara Polczynski of The Blind Burro— that will include chipotle barbecue-smoked pork ribs and chocolate pot de creme, all set to the music of Rosewood & Rye.
