Piazza 1909 Launches Dinner; The Cheese Store's Baja Pop-Up

Plus, Crazee Burger settles into new North Park digs.

LA JOLLA— Piazza 1909, which opened in La Jolla in April, is launching dinner service this week. Going forward, the Italian restaurant will be serving chef/owner Stefano Ceresol's dinner menu of housemade pasta, pizza, local seafood and seasonal specials every Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 4 to 10 p.m. [EaterWire]

LITTLE ITALY— The Cheese Store of San Diego's monthly Sunday Supper series continues on Sunday, July 26 with a cheese-laden Baja-inspired menu entitled "Hola Little Italy". The five-course meal starts at 6 p.m. and includes a glass wine from the Valle de Guadalupe, with happy hour prices offered on subsequent beverages and an optional $14 wine flight; tickets are $65. The shop is also rolling out Cheese 101 education classes, led by noted cheesemonger Jenny Eastwood, that kick off with two sessions entitled The Do-Re-Mi of Cheese scheduled for July 14 and July 28; learn about the history of cheese, tasting seven different cheese styles and sip a complimentary glass of wine or beer. NORTH PARK— Crazee Burger's transition from their original 30th Street location to a new space at the corner of 30th and Lincoln is complete. The burger and beer joint shuttered the first outpost in early June and is now up and running at 3993 30th Street. [EaterWire]
