Earlier this month, Stone Brewing Co. shuttered its first satellite tasting room, South Park's Stone Company Store, which the brewery first opened in 2011. Next month, 30th Street neighbor The Rose Wine Bar + Bottle Shop, which changed ownership last summer, will be taking over the 1,000-square-foot space, essentially doubling The Rose's footprint.
Partner and executive chef Chelsea Coleman tells Eater that for now, the wine bar will be using the site as an event space; an anniversary party is in the works, as well as movie nights, painting and wine sessions, pre-brunch yoga classes and more. It will also be available to rent for private events and function as an overflow seating area for the wine bar on busy weekends. Meanwhile, in front of The Rose's original spot, a new sidewalk patio is being installed this week that will add another 12 seats.
