CREAM Pacific Beach to Give Away Free Ice Cream Sandwiches

In honor of the new store opening Friday, May 29.

CREAM, the Berkeley-based dessert franchise with 14 locations in California and Nevada, is opening its second San Diego store on Friday, May 29 at 1038 Garnet Avenue. The Pacific Beach location comes on the heels of the SDSU-adjacent CREAM (Cookies Rule Everything Around Me), which debuted in March.

The shop specializes in ice cream sandwiches, custom made with 20 ice cream flavors, 20 homemade cookie flavors and more than 20 toppings, plus other frozen treats including floats and milkshakes. From 3 p.m. to midnight today, CREAM will be giving away an estimated 3,000 ice cream sandwiches to commemorate the Pacific Beach store's opening. Owners say that they're looking for more locations in San Diego, though the next spot has yet to be identified.
