Eater readers spotted fresh signage up on the windows of Quality Social's corner spot at 789 6th Avenue and asked us to get the scoop.
The bar, which shuttered last fall, has new proprietors, who are in the midst of a complete remodel of the venue and plan to open Crazy Goose Bar & Lounge in mid-May.
Location Matters helped Wally Mona and his father-in-law Anthony Thomas secure the 7,180-square-foot space for a sports bar and nightclub that will have a new brick interior, booth seating, TVs above a central bar and DJ-entertainment. They're planning on at least doubling the beer taps, offering craft cocktails and a menu that Thomas says will be a mix of comfort and high-end food.
