The Lost Abbey's Craft Beer Confessional Comes to Cardiff

It's open to the public starting Wednesday.

A project nearly a year in the making is finally being tapped in Cardiff, where The Lost Abbey will open The Confessional, a new tasting room in the Cardiff Town Center Market complex at 2007 San Elijo Avenue.

The ocean is viewable from the patio of the 49-seat space, which officially opens this Wednesday at 11 a.m. Operating hours will be 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday.

With 24 beers from The Lost Abbey and Port Brewing on draft, plus bottles and brewery merch for sale, The Confessional will also be one of the few places to get a growler fill in the area; plans are in the works to offer a non-glass stainless steel growler option as well. Co-Founder and Director of Brewery Operations Tomme Arthur tells Eater that the San Marcos-based brewery may consider opening another satellite tasting room in a yet to be determined neighborhood.
