The Latest on KINDRED, South Park's Cocktail Bar With Vegan Food

A summer opening is planned.

This morning, KINDRED sent a teaser graphic, shown above, to subscribers of the restaurant's newsletter.

Back in January, Eater shared the early word on the new South Park project, led by Kory Stetina and partners Arsalun Tafazoli and Paul Basile, which is currently under construction at 1503 30th Street.

In his message, Stetina, who ran the vegan pop-up LOVELIKEBEER says that KINDRED will be a "completely fresh, unique and formidable drinking and dining destination". He told Eater that the cocktail bar will open this summer and while the all-vegan menu will include traditional starters and entrees, there will be an emphasis on snacks and shareable plates geared to pair with drinks.

The graphic hints at other features, including nine draft beers, kombucha on tap, house made soda, and cocktails made with quality booze, amari and liqueurs, fresh juices and something called "demon tears".
