EAST VILLAGE— Ben & Jerry's is kicking off a cross-country campaign tonight in San Diego at Stella Public House, where the ice cream company will be giving away free scoops starting at 5 p.m. in honor of its summer-long Save Our Swirled Tour to promote eco-activism. The restaurant will be offering free appetizers and pizza, plus happy hour specials from 5 to 7 p.m. They're also making a special collaboration dessert and cocktail inspired by Ben & Jerry's, available for $10 each. NORTH PARK— Nomad Donuts, which specializes in eclectic, globally-inspired flavors, is launching a new line of vegan doughnuts on Friday, April 3. Executive pastry chef Kristianna Zabala will offer a few varieties daily, from ube taro coconut to mango chili, lemon thyme, pineapple passion fruit and more, priced at $3 to $4 per pastry.
