Vegan Beer Dinner at Hess & a Chef Hire for Blush

Plus, a Bloom Bash

NORTH PARK— On April 22 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., Katie's Healing Kitchen will be in the house at Mike Hess Brewing Company for a special Earth Day food and beer pairing featuring an all-vegan menu. The three-couse dinner is $12, or $18 with beer, and includes a kale Caesar salad with crispy chickpea croutons, pumpkin seed parmesan and housemade sauerkraut paired with Hess' Hartley Rye Pale Ale. BALBOA PARK— BLOOM BASH, the official kick-off celebration for The The San Diego Museum of Art's annual Art Alive exhibition, is scheduled for Friday, April 24 at 7 p.m., when guests can tour the museum and check out more than 100 floral interpretations of well-known art from the collection and preview new work by Chor Boogie. There will be live music and dancing, plus floral-infused cocktails, beer from The Lost Abbey and food stations from Panama 66, Great Maple, Whiskladle, Table No. 10, Stake Chophouse & Bar, True Food Kitchen and many more.
