At Long Last, Ramen Yamadaya Will Open Downtown

You'll be slurping noodles in a matter of weeks.

Eater and our readers have been awaiting the arrival of Ramen Yamadaya downtown since we  first shared the news of the Southern California chain's expansion way back in Summer 2013.

The tonkotsu ramen specialists, who opened a first shop on Clairemont Mesa Boulevard in 2012, told Eater that they will finally open on Broadway in two weeks.

The 45-seat eatery will be the first food tenant to launch in the Samuel Fox Lofts, where it will be joined by BIGA, a new wood-fired pizza restaurant, and the Mexican grilled meat concept Pipirin.

According to Ramen Yamadaya, the downtown outpost will have a similar menu to its other locations but will feature more local craft beer.
