The fine folks at Eater LA have sleuthed out a possible second outpost of Herringbone headed for our neighbors to the north. Besides the original Herringbone in La Jolla, celebrity chef Brian Malarkey has a Herringbone in West Hollywood, which opened at the Mondrian in early 2014; this new edition would reportedly land in Santa Monica.
Malarkey, who splashed open another Seersucker in Las Vegas' Caesars Palace last week, is currently working on a new restaurant/market concept for San Diego that's due in Little Italy this summer.
A rep for the chef says the L.A. project is "indefinitely on hold", but Eater LA links to a recent Craigslist ad that suggests there is still forward motion.
