The mustachioed and bearded ranks of CH Projects (Polite Provisions, Soda & Swine) will soon be able to use their employee discounts to get groomed.
The hospitality group, who opened five new food and drink spots in the last year, including Little Italy's Ironside Fish & Oyster and Underbelly in North Park, is adding a barbershop to its holdings.
A first location for The Dover Honing Co. is opening in June in the East Village, in an 1,100 square-foot space catty-corner to CH Projects' Neighborhood beer bar and one storefront away from Cafe Chloe's future creperie and event space. The barbershop and shaving parlor, a collaboration with designer Alyasha Owerka-Moore and Brian Bert, founder of Lefty’s Barbershops in San Diego, will reportedly offer haircuts, hot towel razor shaves and a coffee program from Coffee & Tea Collective, whose second coffee bar recently opened alongside CH Projects' Juice Saves.
