Flight Path Wine Bar Turns One & New Bakery for Carlsbad

DOWNTOWN— The Flight Path wine bar is celebrating its first anniversary on Saturday March 21, from noon to 4 p.m.; the Kettner Street eatery will be offering $2 off flatbreads and $5 glasses of house sangria and wine. [EaterWire]

CARLSBAD— Los Angeles-based SusieCakes is debuting its fourteenth location, its first San Diego, tomorrow in the La Costa Town Square. An opening party, scheduled from 1 to 4 p.m., will include complimentary mini desserts, games for kids and the opportunity to win free cake for a year. HILLCREST— Uptown Tavern has a new executive chef, Leticia “Lety” Gonzalez, who has introduced an updated menu that includes a citrus strawberry salad, pork belly and a waffle, blackened wild halibut and mixed berry bread pudding. [EaterWire]
