BANKERS HILL— Four years after first opening, BANKERS HILL BAR + Restaurant is aiming to be the object of your brunch affection as it launches an all new Sunday brunch service on March 29. The menu from executive chef Carl Schroeder and chef de cuisine Ted Smith, offered weekly from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., has riffs on breakfast eggs, including a schnitzel of chicken with two fried eggs and béarnaise sauce, to salads and soups; you'll also be able to order the eatery's now-signature deviled eggs, burger and braised pork tacos. And what's brunch without booze? Eater bartender fave Christian Siglin crafted new cocktails for day-drinking, from The Breakfast Stinger with rum, branca menta, Café Moto Cold Brew and coconut cream to The Milk Punch Out, made with bourbon, blackstrap rum, vanilla, milk, cinnamon and sea salt. ENSENADA— Local beer fans who have yet to venture across the border to explore Mexico's booming craft brewery scene can taste nearly everything in one place at the upcoming Ensenada Beer Fest on Saturday, March 21. Culinary tour company Let's Go Clandestino is turning it into a whole weekend of fun, offering a package that includes transportation and admission to the fest, which features over 30 breweries and food trucks, plus an overnight stay and lunch at the well-known Tacos El Yaqui. DEL MAR— Addison at The Grand Del Mar just announced its 2015 guest chef dinner series, entitled "Collections by Addison". For each date, executive chef William Bradley will be sharing the kitchen with fellow James Beard-recognized chefs, including Boston's Barbara Lynch (No. 9 Park), Justin Cogley from Carmel's Aubergine and Patrick O’Connell from The Inn at Little Washington; the eight-course dinners will include four courses from chef Bradley and four from the featured guest chef. First up is Josiah Citrin from the legendary Mélisse in Santa Monica, who is scheduled to come and cook a seasonal spring menu on Saturday, April 25. [EaterWire]
