More details have emerged about the concept headed to the former Bourbon Street location (4612 Park Blvd.) that Eater first reported would be called Park & Rec.
The redesign of the 5,000-square-foot property, spearheaded by Waypoint Public owner John Pani, will be ready by May and will reportedly be made up of three stand-alone cocktail "bungalows" surrounding a large courtyard. As would be expected considering its name, Park & Rec will feature outdoor games, including ping pong and shuffle board, plus live entertainment and music.
Enlisted to curate a classic cocktail program is the newly-formed Revelry Cocktail Co., comprised of two high-profile local bartenders, Anthony Schmidt (Fairweather, Rare Form, Noble Experiment) and Trevor Easter (Noble Experiment, Rickhouse, Bourbon & Branch, Heaven’s Dog).
Pani also holds the lease for the adjacent 3,500-square-foot space that was once Lei Lounge; though a plan hasn't been solidified for that site, it will include a food component.
