Bagby Beer Co.'s Grand Opening & a Food Truck Fest

Plus, crawfish cookouts are coming.

OCEANSIDE— Bagby Beer Company, which entered the scene to much excitement last fall, is organizing a food and drink festival that will double as a belated grand opening party for their brewery and restaurant. BagbyFest is scheduled from noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 28th; the celebration will include a beer garden with house beer and beer from other local breweries, plus tastings of wine, spirits, cocktails with food pairings from Bagby's kitchen. Tickets are $60 and going fast. MISSION VALLEY— The Great American Foodie Fest is rolling into San Diego and will be parked at Qualcomm Stadium from Friday, March 27 to Sunday, Mary 29. Each day's session will include over 50 food trucks from around the country, including San Diego's own Devilicious, Crepes Bonaparte and Currywurst Truck, plus the debut of a mobile version of White Castle. Advance tickets to the fest are $8 a day or $13 for the weekend, with food and drink sold separately. There will be a beer garden on site, plus live entertainment, games and carnival rides. [EaterWire]

PACIFIC BEACH— Pacific Beach Fish Shop's annual Crawfish Cookout is back, starting March 31 and reoccurring on April 14 and 28, May 12 and 26 and June 9 and 23. Live Louisiana crawfish will be sold by the pound, part of a spicy Cajun boil that includes traditional side of corn on the cob, red potatoes and spicy sausage. On each date, the crawfish feast will start at 3 p.m. and continue until the eatery is runs out. [EaterWire]
