Donovan's La Jolla Steakhouse Switcheroo Soft Opens

Eater readers alerted us that Donovan's Steak & Chop House has reopened in place of Azul at 1250 Prospect Street, which shuttered last fall to make way for the steakhouse. Some cosmetic changes have been made to the interior of the restaurant, which boasts ocean views, though Donovan's tells us that the outdoor patio space is still in transition.

Donovan's move to downtown La Jolla comes after 15 years in the UTC-area; the site of the former restaurant is being torn down and expanded to house the San Diego expansion of Red O Restaurant by Rick Bayless.
