The folks over at RAD LAB, whose ambitious Quartyard project is ramping up in the East Village, sent over a photo of the first tenant set to open for business on their 30,000-square-foot urban lot.
Planted in the southwest corner, in a recycled shipping container, is Meshuggah Shack Coffee Shop's second location, which after a short delay, is officially opening Tuesday morning at 6 a.m. Open daily from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m., the coffee spot will serve a menu of espresso and ice blended drinks, plus irreverently named signature concoctions that include Mother's Little Helper and El Kinky Nut.
RAD LAB COO David Loewenstein says the next piece of the Kickstarter-fueled outdoor hub for food, beer and coffee will be a daily rotating cast of food trucks who'll pull up to Quartyard starting Friday, February 20, to be followed by an outpost of S&M: Sausage and Meat from Slater's 50/50's, a 10,000-square-foot beer garden.
