LA JOLLA— Herringbone continues its monthly Ales & Acoustics event on Saturday, February 28 from 2 to 6 p.m. A midday menu of flatbreads and salads will be available and a flight of four beers from AleSmith Brewing Company will be on tap in the restaurant's bar/lounge area. LA JOLLA— Bijou French Bistro is launching a new winemaker dinner series with two events; the first is scheduled for Sunday, March 8 with Vallin Wines from Santa Barbara and the second will feature Petaluma's Soliste Cellars on Wednesday, April 8. Both dinners will begin at 6 p.m. with the winemakers in attendance. The multi-course prix fixe dinner will be overseen by Bijou's chef de cuisine, Shaun Gethin, plus culinary director William Bradley and wine director Elizabeth Huettinger.
